Looking for some help. Teacher/Coach with two young daughters. Needing to make more money. Career change or 2nd job needed. Any advice or anyone looking to hire?

Are you in the public system?

If not, move to public. If you already are, lower your spending or have your spouse work. There is no reason you should be forced to get a second job making 45k/yr.

That is young. Do something you love. If this is what you love then providing for your kids will just have to be on your terms. They'd rather a happy dad than an ipod.

If there is something else out there that you'd love to do, try to make the transition as seamless as possible (that may be the two job part of it).

I appreciate all the information. Not broke, just would like to provide more for my family. Two daughters and a wife are not cheap.LOL They are not high maintenance, but I want to do the best I can for them.

What does your wife do?

I need more info.

Hate to say it but if your wife is working full time with your salary, you have to be making more than $80k between the two of you.

If you made wise financial decisions regarding mortgage / car loans / saving etc. then you shouldnt be needing more money to provide for your family.

An extra $5k a year is not going to add that much happiness to your family.

If your looking for more than that then you need to bite the bullet and get into a new career.

Your a teacher and have the summer off(presumably) you have alot of flexibility.
