This might interest some of you.... certainly a cause for concern

Just released.... LH Network (ESPN & Texas Network) has reached out to Pearland Dawson... home of 2012 Texas commit Kenny Estelle..... to work a deal to show one of their games this coming season on the network..... This now makes the FIRST three teams they have reached out to (Aledo, Brenham, & Pearland Dawson) that HAVE top tier players already committed to Texas..... people open your eyes! This is getting ridiculous.... NCCA wake up... Gotta spread the word

I agree that it has the potential to effect LSU (and other big time programs) as well. The sips have been recruiting a couple of your commits I think (T. Davis for sure). What happens if they decide to televise his high school game? Make him feel like a big shot.

The NCAA won't do anything. They've dropped the ball so many times recently that they won't do anything on this as well. Already have too much on their plate that they aren't eating

I'm not really concerned. If your a kid from Texas, u already know if ur going or not. Much like kids in Louisiana who either really want to go to LSU or the kids who would rather go out of state to play. We don't need an LSU network to do what Texas does and neither do they. It might actually hurt Texas in that kids who normally wouldn't get noticed from colleges around the country will now get a chance to get exposure.

edit: Doesn't mean they'll actually do anything, but they are presently putting on the appearance of investigating the legalities/ramifications/etc.

Texas Tiger, I actually think the more awareness about it the better. When SPorts by Brooks, Yahoo!, etc start tweeting about it then it puts more pressure on the NCAA to make a decision instead of just sitting back and hoping the situation passes over

Between 2002 and 2012, Texas signed exactly 2 players from the state of Louisiana.
One was a kicker. The other was Chase Pittman, and he finished his career at LSU.
So....in 10 years, Texas has stolen exactly ZERO recruits from LSU. They got really close on one, and were getting warm with a few others. But close only counts in horseshoes and handgrenades.

A single school's network has no business airing high school games. An ESPN exec went onto a sports radio show talking about airing games of longhorn commits. But not just in Texas. He even cited airing the game of a recruit in Arizona.
When the Longhorn Network trucks pull up in your Louisiana hometown you might start giving a rip. The high school coaches will enjoy the $$$ the school receives by being on the air. Might that influence where they send their players?
By then it'll be too late for you to voice your opinion on the matter. Not saying TxTiger82's opinion matters all that much, but collectively our voices carry weight.

I'm not convinced something wrong IS going on. You guys are making a big deal over this because it gives them an advantage. But nothing about this screams illegal to me.

Also... A&M isn't the only one pissed about LHN.... Oklahoma, Ok Lite, Texas Tech, even Ohio State have all indicated they are not happy about recruits HS games being televised on the national stage.... you cajuns... never surprise me by your intellectual side.... awareness will make the NCAA act.... being naive and ignorant is only going to prove costly.... your warning has be served
