I remember in 08 we played Florida on Mardi Gras and LSU maid a three with 1 second on the shot clock then Florida turned the ball over and LSU dunked and the crowd went nuts, but that was the loudest I have ever heard the P-Mac but I have only been going to games since 2006.

I'm on phone but do a YouTube search of LSU Alabama basketball. There's a video from 2005 where Ross neltner hits a buzzer beater. That was one of the loudest ive heard it. The a&m and uconn games after the final 4 were really rocking too.

I was in law school during the early glory days. frick it was exciting. And people can say what they want about Dale, but it's never been the same since.

Brady sucked as a coach but he did have the PMAC packed a loud as frick a few times. Vs AZ twice (jabari behind the back and when we beat them as #1)...We played Tenn at home in 2000. I distinctly remember that being one of the loudest games I've been to despite losing

The PMAC used to be awesome until about 1993 or 94.
All of those classic games during Chris Jackson and Shaq years.
Yes, LSU fans would support basketball if it could be consistent.
The PMAC during Brady's years was never like it was during the CJ and Shaq years.

THE DEAF DOME BABY
Just "recently" the PMAC's been pretty loud in 2000, during our pretty good runs in 03, 05, and 06. And in 09.
It still has potential.

I was at that game, awesome. I even remember Anthony Wilson playing at Plain Dealing.
Watch the end of the video where Dana Kirk, the tax cheat, refuses to shake the Dale's hand!

The best part was all the ESPN jackoffs saying how unfair it was that LSU got to play the first two rounds of the 1986 NCAA tourney on their home floor. The next round, they had to play Georgia Tech in Atlanta. Everyone said, watch what happens when LSU gets the tables turned on them. OOPS...

I was high bid at a fundraiser that year for a team autographed basketball. It started out one home game on the bench, then Dale started adding perks to up the bid to beat what Arnsbarger's autographed football went for.
Dale then offered the Georgetown away game, fly with the team and sit on the bench and if we made the final four, a trip to Dallas. All expenses paid. We would be just like a player.
The team got chicken pox and had to reschedule games that year. Because of that I got to attend four away games in five days. Georgia, Georgetown, Auburn, and Miss. State.
Dale managed to get us tickets for the final four, but we werent able to sit on the bench due to NCAA regulations. We had a 8 pt lead on Louisville at halftime, but eventually lost due to lack of size in the paint.
That season turned around at Auburn. I was witness to coach Brown's power when he explained to the team how Sonny Smith refused to reschedule the game due to our chicken pox ordeal. It fired everyone on the team and we rallied and won that game on John Williams last shot. The team took on a whole new attitude from there.
I hung out with Don and Ricky most of the time. Sat next to Jim Hathorn for three games. I remember Jose Vargas helping Anthony with some Spanish on the plane ride back. Priceless experience.

Wonderful time for men's basketball at LSU. Don't care what people say about Brown in retrospect, the man could draw attention to his players and his program.
