TAF posted nearly $29.3 million in revenue during 2010: A sports business blogger has opened up the books of the Tiger Athletic Foundation. According to The Business of College Sports, the LSU boosters club posted nearly $29.3 million in revenue during fiscal 2010. Nearly $22 million came from donations from TAF members; rents from University Club and LSU came to nearly $4.6 million, and scoreboard sponsorships brought in $2 million. TAF spent $21.3 million, contributing $8.3 million to the LSU Athletic Department.

So the entity that runs your most profitable product, makes money. That is good news.
Welcome to Big Boy football. Texas, Alabama, Florida, Ohio State, etc. all have the same type of organizations.

Yeah, so?
University of Texas signed a $300 million contract with ESPN to form its own TV network. And UT gets ALL of that. It doesn't have to share it with the other teams of the Big 12-2.

So you couldn't post this in the other thread about TAF's financials?

Why is this so interesting the past few days? Do people really think that TAF is broke or does not turn much of a profit? I am very glad we have a booster organization that is very well off. We might need it for a rainy day.

LSURussian,
why start a pissing contest about tu? we all know they bring in tons of money, but we are in the top 10 and damn competitive. the op seemed to me to just be stated some facts. this board can be rough.

I wonder if that is the required "donations" or other donations.
