I'm okay with this. Let our recruits know the admin buys into Johnson's plan.

I have no problem with this.

I'm still waiting for one of those super anti-TJ guys to chime in saying how rediculous this is

They were actually considering giving him a raise?

I didn't see that in the article, but I doubt it. This is just a "see recruits, we buy into this system" move as stated earlier.

The Board makes it look silly, this could've been done at July meeting, extending it to August did send a message

bad move......can't recruit can't motivate. His teams here have gotten worse.

What about the buyout? How much is LSU going to be out when they shitcan this sucker?

Once again, I want Trent to succeed but he needs to sell the program better, interact more with the fanbase, not be so dry in interviews, and hire a staff that can sell LSU to recruits within state and in the south. I think he's a decent X and O coach but he has no closer on the coaching staff and the players in LA seem to have LSU low on their list.

I am neutral on this. If he improves this year as expected it looks like a smart decision- if he does not improve- then maybe it was not the best decision as we may be paying an extra year of buyout.
Aleva is banking we will not repeat this:
I am ready to see some real basketball again at the PMAC it has been a rough two years

This was smart. It's easier to sell that he'll be around when his recruits get to campus.

One more year, no new raise.
Based on his salary, I don't think he will be applying for food stamps within the next four years.Trent will be successful at LSU.

This is especially important with big La. recruits coming up in the next year (most specifically Gathers).

Didn't TJ double his sec win total from the previous yr? I call that improvement.
