We are some dudes from Canada.
We are flying into Memphis on Thursday, September 15th and then driving to Starkville for the LSU/MSU game that night.

Kickoff time, parking situation, seat location, rules of football, directions home.

Bring earplugs and try not to shove somebody's cowbell up their arse. Those things are annoying. And as Skip Bertman said, "Starkville is the Indian word for trailer park."

Do NOT do anything, wear anything, say anything, that is "Canadian" in tradition.
If anyone gives you any shite, just say "go Tigers!"
at all means, when in general conversations, you must fight the urge to say "back in Canada we........"

Didn't you come to a LSU game in BR a year or so ago?? If yes..how was it?
What made you decide to go to an away game? And why did you pick Stark Vegas to visit?

Hey Halifax,
Wear all of your purple and gold gear that your purchased in BR for the 2009 Florida game & stop by The Lil Dooey to eat and you'll be fine.
Adhere to the above note about cowbells.
Actually, Starkville is not as bad as most think. Stadium has best field turf and replay screen in SEC.

Get there early, the parking sucks on campus. If you're in the visitors section, you can't see the replay board, so don't expect much.
I like the trip though. Nice people.

Halifax, I hope you're not expecting Mississippi State's stadium or gameday environment (tailgating) to be anything close to what you found in Baton Rouge a few years ago.
However, this will be a big game for both teams and you should have a great time.
Starkville is much smaller than Baton Rouge.

It's also on a Thursday night, so in defense of Starkville, there is only so much that could be done, assuming they are not cancelling classes.

State has canceled classes for both Thursday and Friday.

I respond to the points made above:
1) Kickoff at 7:00 CST, no idea on parking or seat location, who needs rules or directions home;
2) I agreeon cow bells. Based on my time at the Egg Bowl they were even annoying there;
3) Brendoni - Which place did we meet? Other than the outcome of the game, that was an alltimer.
4)I only refer to our Canadian nationality and residence to demonstrate how turrable we are. Sentences beginning with "back in Canada we..." will be completed with "...are awful".
5) We were in Baton Rouge for the 2009 Florida game. It was fantastic. I will be back.
6) Why LSU @ MSU? I like to see different venues. I wanted to see LSU play this year and my schedule is best in September. I've been to Cowboy Stadium, and tickets were ridiculously priced. This game allows us to go to more than one game on the weekend.
7) Our full schedule includes golf Friday, party in Atlanta Friday night, Auburn @ Clemson on Saturday at 12, and the Navy @ USC game that night. We fly back Sunday.
8) LSUGoose - yes we'll be eating BBQ. This may cause extra "stops".
9) We'll be buying and drinking a lot of booze.
10) Our flight gets into Memphis at 12:00. The earliest we'll get there is 2-3 hours before kickoff. That's prolly the best we can do. Seriously - what is best parking advice for that arrival time?
