Broncos scored. The significance really is in enjoying the effort. IE, had the ball gone out of the EZ, the Pats would've gotten the ball back.
Basically, it's a play that no one would've questioned had Watson stopped running at the 50 yard line. He put that effort in on the SLIGHT chance that A)He'd catch him and that B)It would matter.
THAT'S called playing the game right.

No doubt it was a great hustle play and pertains to your thread, just wondering the significance since Kraft and company made it seem like that play got them into the superbowl or something. So the broncos still scored the TD and the pats still won the game? Was this even in the playoffs?

They did some scientific/math equasion thing that said his did hit the ball out the endzone so the pats should have gotten the ball back but you couldnt tell in live action or the replay
