Agreed - it is easy to play the numbers. My issue with the NCAA numbers is that it appears to be completely based upon the win-loss record of the opponent. This is certainly a valid way to sort the numbers, but other factors (such as a BCS ranking, whether the game is a home or away game, etc.) are relevant too.
