I'm sorry, but I don't want a poster with a fricking poem on it.

I want a poster with football players on it.

That's crap, if you ask me.

(I know, you didn't ask. I still felt the need to share. Punk)

It's not bad, but last year's posters were great. The schedule with Patrick and "number 1 defense" across his face was sweet, as was the Cotton Bowl poster.

How big are these things? No dimensions listed and it's only a buck on the website.. can't be that big?

I'd rather pay a dollar for a free spring game ticket than get one of these for free.

Seriously.

We put a poem. On a football poster.

Geezus...

The only good thing about that poster is that Toonces is missing from it.

If you read every word and then look at the poster again; it becomes more effective. The copy is very powerful and inspiring.
To put these words all in one font or typeface would have made it harder to read, believe it or not, because it would have looked like any ordinary school-lesson type story.
The different typefaces and sizes are what MAKES it interesting and readable. It's aesthetic.

I guess it's the J-school alumnus in me

Okay, let me say this:

It's a poem. On a football poster. Not a poem with pictures of football players. It's just a poem.

It's a poem with sideways writing in different sizes of font. It's MORE DIFFICULT to read, and the impact is lost with the trouble it takes to comprehend it and understand the "flow" they used.

Essentially, its a total piece of shite.
