As someone who has never, and will never, read the books, I've enjoyed the movies immensely. I skipped out on them at first because "they were kids movies." But once I watched the first one, I was hooked. And I've liked them all since. The one before the last one (Half Blood Prince, I guess) is the second-best of the series IMO...so the movies have maintained a high quality throughout the entire series, which is very impressive.

From a pure entertainment perspective (and again, sans reading the books), the HP series has been awesome.

You really, really should. I never would have but my sister told me I wouldn't regret it. I haven't.

So why would you not read the books then?
