Not talking about slasher movies or movies with rape. I'm talking about movies you thought would be a great movie to watch with your lady love, but turned out to be a horrible choice.

Mine was "The Last Kiss". We both liked Garden State so I picked this one up one night. Bad move. All the guys are cheaters. The women are suffering saints. Of course, I understood where the guy's came from and made the mistake of saying as much. She did not agree. No lovin for me that night.

What are some other movies that you thought would be a good idea, but turned out not to be such a good idea?

Blue Valentine and 500 Days of Summer would be bad choices

500 days of Summer was awesome for me, as I was dating a girl named Autumn at the time.

So it was like "aww, I found my Autumn too, and Autumn is much nicer than Summer".

Holy shite! I read the title and came in the thread to say The Last Kiss. The movie puts a serious damper on the concept of lifelong monogamy. Everyone walked out of the theater bummed as shite without saying a word. No exaggeration.

Coincidentally, this was the last movie that my ex-girlfriend and I saw together.

Haha. I think my worst mistake was saying something about the one single friend being the only happy one of the bunch. I had my back turned to her so I didn't see the ,"Shut the frick up." eyes when she asked, "You don't think he's lost and desperate?"

And so I replied, "Hell no he's doing exactly what he wants and having the time of his life."

Then I turned around...

haha. Well, I don't remember much from the movie. I saw it when it came out, and it's definitely not the kind of movie to ever watch again. So, I'm not sure the story w/ the single friend had any downer moments. Maybe your SO is grasping for straws as to why he wouldn't be happy. ha

I rented Eyes Wide Shut years ago and invited this girl over for dinner and to watch the movie in the doublewide trailer I lived in while in college. Very weird and awkward.

That was 11 years ago. We've been married for the past 9.

So, you watched Eyes Wide Shut with a girl, married her, are still married to her, and we learn of this in a 'Worst Movie to watch with your SO' thread?

Does she know you wish you were single?

Only if she is a psychotic bitch. Should be the poster movie of how not to treat your SO.

It's not that awkward or gut wrenching. But just the fact that it doesn't work out in the end after such a good start doesn't bode well when the couple viewing it reflects upon themselves

I have to second 500 days of sumner because if there is any doubt about whether this chick loves you or not, she will most def be done with you after seeing this. Otherwise it's a great movie.
