Do you have some form of "tru motion" or image smoothing? If so you should try turning that feature off

my parents Samsung LCD was fricking horrible before we adjusted the factory settings. try to find calibrated settings online for whatever model you have and go from there.

this happened to me when i watched inglorious on blu ray
It looked pretty awful, kind of like a soap opera. Everything is put into focus and it definitely makes you feel as if you were on set.
