I just learned that there is an initiative by student government to organize a"Pink Game" this season, where everyone wears pink to a game. Probably against Kentucky. What says the Rant on this topic?

I support the fight against breast cancer as well...

I'll wear a pink ribbon, but no way in hell will I wear a pink shirt to a football game.

I still don't understand why breast cancer gets this much support, there are plenty of more lethal cancers out there that deserve our attention moreso than breast cancer

A lot of other sports have done it
I can see letting coaches were something pink like the men's coaches did

Why not for football games support for research into cancers that affect men such as prostate and testicular cancer? I suggest the use of the colors of purple and gold for those causes.

Activism. Same reason AIDS gets such huge funding relative to its number of victims.

I don't own any pink clothing and I'm not gonna go out and buy any for a game.

Good to hear Student Government is still a bunch of douche bags. I hate cancer of all kinds, but a pink out game isn't going to do a damn thing except look stupid.

Lamer idea than the "Magnolia Bowl." Student Government needs to refocus their efforts on getting diet mountain dew in the soda fountains in the Union, and making sure campus has enough recycle bins.

I think there should be a brown out game for cOlon cancer awareness. Better yet we should just have a random STD awareness game. Everyone could just come dressed as their favorite STD.

ETA: I would support pink gloves/socks/cleats/etc.....

Sounds like it'll be an utter failure. I'm all for supporting breast cancer and opportunities such a football game to raise money but I dont think wearing a pink shirt is the way to do it.

Buy a pink ribbon for $1 and wear it?
Have a text donation thing announced several times throughout the game?

Kentucky game will be at 1130am and add in wearing pink???
