My pregnant wife is craving lettuce wraps tonight and I don't have any idea how to make them. Does anyone have a decent recipe? Thanks.

I don't have a recipe, but there's this place in Lafayette which stir fries pork belly, onions, etc and serves it to you with romaine lettuce leaves and some Korean chili paste. You spread the paste onto the lettuce, spoon in some of that stir fry, and it's one of the best dishes in Lafayette (at Osaka).

I'm sure you could saute anything you wanted and wrap them in leaves. Just think of them as tacos subbing lettuce for the shell and go from there. Endive can be substituted.

If you're desperate, go to Chilli's.

They don't serve these anymore.

PF Changs or BJ's Brew House has them

Unless you and others are gonna want some too. I'd just call in an order to PF Chang's or Chinese place that makes them. For all the knocks as a chain that PF Chang's gets, they do this dish well, and it's cheap(even more so during happy hr)..

Simple dish to make, but cheap enough to still order it out 9 of 10 times.

Well, I am in Laffy so no PF Changs. We ended up running low on time so I bought a rotisserie chicken from the grocery along with some romaine and a few other things. I made a little sauce and some sweet onions and it was pretty damn good. The preggie wife loved it. So if momma is happy, I am happy. Thanks for everyone's help.
