98-84 career record. Coming off her and her program's 1st career NCAA Tournament Victory.

So, we allegedly called Candrea-according to him.

We then poached Murphy, but he backed out.

Now, we've hired a 4th year HC who has all of one victory in the NCAA's?

Wow...

There's something going on that we don't know about.

LSU threw the bank at Murphy and is now settling for a very safe and underwhelming hire.

The highlight of her career at FIU is a victory over Florida.

It seems like LSU gave up on trying to hire a top coach and just wanted to get the search over with.

I can't believe anyone associated with the softball program at LSU is very excited about this hire.

i guess joe didn't want to throw alot of money around after we got burnt. I dont really understand this we were prepared to make the bama coach the highest paid coach in the country and we couldn't find another coach that is almost that caliber?

I'm amazed at how many people are able to gaze into the future and see how she will do here. If we get a proven coach and that coach is paid a commensurate salary, there is bitching. I'm sure we won't be paying Torina as much as some of those proven commodities, and now there's still bitching.

Wonder what the rant would have thought about the Skip Bertman hire in the 80s.

Nick Saban's record at Michigan St. was underwhelming (on paper) as well.

Dead God people calm down! Was Saban an exciting hire? Miles? Mainieri? How about Urban Meyer before he got the Utah Job?

These young coaches have to get their chance at some point. Give it time before passing judgment. She may be a steal!

Um, are you aware of where Skip came from?

Here's a hint - it wasn't FIU...

And here's a hint. He wasn't a proven head coach either.

id say the bitching comes more from at one point we were willing to pay top dollar for something proven but when that fell through we decided to go unproven.

nothing wrong with an up an comer but after you act like your going for proven its disappointing to see that change

Either way, people will complain on this board.
