As a HUGE LOTR fan, I am really excited for this movie. The Hobbit was my favorite book of the "series", and Peter Jackson is a master director. How do y'all see Martin Freeman doing as Bilbo?

Oh, and Ian McKellan would be the coolest grandpa ever. Along with Clint Eastwood and Gene Hackman.

I watched that earlier, so awesome. I want to go to NZ so bad, just to see where all the stuff was filmed. Maybe I'll stumble across Hobbiton

Extremely confident that he'll play the part perfect.

I just started reading The Hobbit for the first time.

A bunch of dwarves just busted in, and I'm hooked already.

That's awesome to hear but do you think it will transfer on film as well as the LOTR. I'm so ready to see the trailer in theater's. I might pass out I'm so excited.

I've always though LOTR was a movie for everyone not just aka nerds . I know alot of girls that love the LOTR. Some people think it's like Star Wars but I don't see it that way. Star Wars are for just guys with no girlfriends if that makes any sense

Yeah, I think it will be better than LOTR actually. But I'm biased, since it's my favorite book of the lot. Now, if they wanted to adapt the Silmarillion...

Bilbo isn't exactly how I imagined him reading him from my youth, but he does look great!

Just watched it. Think I saw Deep Roy toward the end. Anyone know what part he'll play?

Personally I imagined him to be stockier and having pudgier cheeks. It's no biggie though.
