it means the ACC is by far the most notoriously choking conference in the NCAA tourney over most of our lives. That's a given.
The good news for you is that UVA basically has no fault in that. Mostly F$U, GT, Clem's Son, etc.

It's the "Always Chokes Conference" for a reason. And a joke, for the most part.
This ump has had a much different strike zone depending on which team is pitching. I'm surprised it took Miami 8 innings to put a bunch across since their strike zone is half that of JU's hitters.

UNC had some bad luck.. they had a few great teams, but just happened to coincide with Oregon St having slightly better teams..

I meant the "ACC sucks cause they always choke" was a joke. They consistently have good teams, and UVA/UNC have looked pretty good so far this regional.This post was edited on 6/5/11 at 2:33 pm

i don't really include UNC in the choke category - they are relative newcomers to the big stage and have done a good job when there. Lost in 2 or 3 CWS finals, I think.

yes, they consistently have good teams who consistently underachieve in the postseason.
I recall GT and Clemson being overall #1 seeds and choking big time, and more than once. Then there's F$U.
