Let's see if I can remember. Outside the Gates of LSU (going on Highland looking towards downtown), on the right side of Highland you had: Chimes, The Varsity, Round the Corner, Pedro's farther down, Popeyes', some bar with an Irish name (Hoolihans?), Churches', and some comedy/night club where Gallagher once performed, a wholesale seafood place, Manship Publishing, etc.

On the left side you had: Godfather's Pizza, Shell Station, Mary Lee's Donuts, Burger King, Band Practice Fields, Ace Hardware, The Bengal, some Mafia-looking nightclub, WBRZ-TV, a side street leading to Nicholson and the Pastime :)

Then you had the old original Louie's Cafe (before it moved), the Blood/Plasma Center, an old laundromat, Mr. Gatti's, Wendy's, McDonald's, City National Bank, Murphy's, a Movie Theatre, Grocery Store, etc.

Lair lunches in the Union. Hatcher Cafeteria.
A little snack bar - Foster Commons?, the old Gym Armory, LSU Campus Police, Infirmary. Wow....

Yep, in late 80s there was a tavern in back of the chimes called something like TKs or TYs tavern was fun place but rough. Not frat boy rough but remember it used to be the NATl champion rugby team hangout. What was the 25 cent Thursday night taco and draft beer place called if you went down closer to the Bengal?

You forgot Paradise Records and New Generation, plus Mediterranean Cafe in the early 9's (I loved that place)

Cotton Club? Nothing but Sinatra and Mack the Knife on the juke box, and John Mahafee showed up every night at 10:31pm.

Shanahan's was the name of the bar but before that it was called The White Horse.

Remember the Cotton Club?

And inside the Student Union between the Cafeteria and the Tiger Lair was a bar that you could buy beer.

Ain't dere no mo.
