It may have been discussed, but how did we get left out because of no road OOC games? Mississippi State played Akron, Lamar, Belmont, Alcorn, Iowa and Sacred Heart at home. Alabama played 1 weekend tournament in Mobile against SLU, USA and UCF. That committee chair was just making shite up.

Frankly, I am not surprised we did not get selected. Now what needs to happen in the off-season is some significant soul searching, some recruiting of talent that is appropriate to what it takes to win with the change in bats as well as making sure they actually come to LSU instead of the NBL, and perhaps a good frank talk between the AD and the HC.

The reason I am pissed, other than St. Johns definitely should not have been in over us, IF LSUhad been in, they would have been a 2 or 3 seed, not even a 4 seed so they would not even have been in the bottom 16 of the teams in but instead, they were left out for bogus reasons. Yes, they finished 5 in the west...2 games out of 1st, 1 game out of a tie for 2nd which 3 teams were tied for. Really? Be honest NCAA...
And while it has nothing to do wit us, really, the high school stadium of UCLA hosting again? Crowding in that 2000 fans, come on! With an RPI below ours?

i can't believe that everyone is so upset about what happened...can you give me one time that the bunch of assholes at the NCAA did anything that made real sense when it came to sports...they are after one thing and that is Market share. I saw this coming after Bama and LSU played for the championship. The next year they made damn sure we would never do it again. After saying that, let us be sure that next year everybody in the conference qualifies...can you tell I am pissed?

I think some people are getting confused with this LSU team deserving to get in compared to other LSU teams. Yes this was a down team by LSU standards. This LSU team however compared to the resumes of at large teams this year and in the recent past that made the tournament is more than deserving.
Wins against the rpi top 50 alone is a glaring point.
Since when has going on the road for OOC games mattered. College baseball has always been about bringing the focus to the showcase teams and stadiums around the country. This fruitless effort to try and make teams like LSU, UT, etc.... go up north to play the likes of UCONN and Oregon St. is never going to happen. It just doesn't make economic sense. If coaches are going to be fired for not creating revenue then creating revenue by having your high profile OOC series at home has to be taken into consideration.

I know, it's math it's not arbitrary. Highest rpi team ever to be left out by 14 spots I think.

Dallas Baptist played both A&M (three game series)and Texas (one game) this year. Amazingly DB gave both schools more then they bargained for. DB scored a record 23 hits against A&M in an extra inning game and beat them. A&M coach predicted then that DB would be a tournament team and he was glad they survived the three games 2-1.

They also beat Rice, TCU and Oklahoma State - all tournament teams OOC. These boys can play.

In summary, this is totally, 100%, on CPM. No one else's fault. This says it all. CPM will be gone in two years.

You don't get in with stories! LSU has coasted on their name long enough. You gotta WIN!
