I want to first offf congratulate your team and fans for a great year and for hosting a fantastic regional. I just wanted to to thank you guys for being so friendly and respectful of our team. All of your fans showed class and were very supportive.

I truly wish your team success and hope you win it all!

You guys have a top 5 program and a top 15 team this year. Nola is the best pitcher in college baseball this year in my opinion. We stole one tonight in our park. We needed it. You guys are a class act and I wish you nothing but the best the rest of the year. See you in BR for the next game.

Go Tigers! Win tonight. You have beaten Spurrier before, do it again. Georgia is no LSU!

I wanted to wish you guys the best of luck in the regionals and hopefully on to Omaha. Wish we were in the regional with you. We will be next year!
Congrats to you guys. Was at the game last night. Both teams played well and the crowd was great. NOLA was dominant. Man, does he have a future!

Hope yall have a great season. There is no way NOLA will not be a weekend starter from what I saw last night. Our guy, Byo, pitched pretty well, but was clearly out classed by NOLA who was just on. I may be wrong, but I don't think he got behind one hitter last night.

Good luck the rest of the year, hope you win the SEC. It's good to have a quality team again, we should be in the post-season, where we belong again. See ya in BR.

FLtiggah,

With all due respect, Oregon's offense is not easy to stop. LSU's defense is just that good! Arkansas doesn't have the talent to score that much on this defense.

You guys win. Yall are thet better team. Arkansas is a fantastic team with many weapons, but they have not faced a D. Line with a fantastic Secondary like you have. They may score their points, but 20 is the max and probably closer to 14.

Your O.Line will wear them down and Scott will have a great day getting to the outside.

Good Luck, you guys deserve it and I hope you win. I see you by atleast 2 scores.

On 2 side notes.....Alabama doesn't deserve to play you. They lost to you on their home field. So, you have to win your championship for the honor of playing a team that you already beat? Makes no sense. Alabama may be the 2nd best team, but in this scenerio, the winner of the Big 12 or Pac 12 with 1 loss deserves the shot. Not that they are the better team, but because Alabama doesn't deserve it.

2nd note, hope we hire a great, energetic coach to get us on the map again....
Your scenario is what I believe happened. Texas called, we showed interest, they then told us what they would accept and whatwe needed to do. Here we are and so far Tulane is stepping up. Apparently our ad met with Rich Rodriguez today.
I will never settle on the current state that we are in just as you would never settle for the LSU of the 80's. Tulane has potential to be Ole Miss, Arizona St, North Carolina, etc. Can we be LSU, Alabama, etc... I wish, but I am realistic.

That being said, no, there is room in our state for another BCS school.
I do not have access to the plans. However, I have spoken to someone who has seen them. The tennis center would have to be gone and the Wilson Center would be folded in so to speak.

The playbook did not mention access to a BCS conference as far as I can remember. However, as I just stated, Texas came to us. I wish we would have been more aggressive years ago. There is absolutely no reason why we can't be successful. Our only downfall has been ourselves. There is no reason why we can't get our program to the level where we can play each other and it not be over by halftime. I grew up going to the games against you and it was a blast.

No one truly knows the fan base of Tulane and that is our fault. We draw in Baseball. If you back out the SEC we are top 5 in attendance. With the SEC we are in the top 18 or so. In football our last 2 competitive years we drew 38K as the high point. However, this was on a Thursday night. I don't blame the fans for not going. Hopefully all of that will change. If I had to put a figure on it I'd guess we could draw 35+ for the big games (LSU, Texas, OKC) and 28+ for Baylor etc. That being said, New Orleans is a destination city and hopefully 5 - 10K would travel.

It's exciting to be a Tulane fan for a change, it's been a long time. I truly hope it happens. I will say this again, they are spending money. Tulane never spends money,,,,,something's up.

Good Luck against Alabama,,,I think you win by 7.
There are plans that have been drawn up that would allow a stadium of 40 - 45K. It would have to be shoe-horned in, but it can be done.

Recruiting - We would get an occasional recruit from you, but that's OK. You can only take 25, and of that 25, how many come from N.O. and LA? We could do very well in keeping the other players in state that currently go to Miami, Boston College, Ole Miss, etc. OKC and Texas would be going after the athletes that you currently now own.

We were approached, and that is the sad part. I wish that we were more aggressive. Our AD is meeting with Rich Rodriguez today in Chicago. Just to get an interview with him shows the interest. The fact that Tulane is spending the money on an OCS and a good coach are all I need to know that the rumors are true about the Big 12. Maybe not this go around, but given our current administration, they would not spend the money unless it was real.

The OC from Arkansas has also showed interest, he seems like a real good coach with a good bio.
Tulane is staying div 1. It is hard to win because of the ridiculous limitations, but good coaches succeed and go on, some to win national championships, Mack Brown, Larry Smith, Tommy Bowden, Rich Rod.
Do any of you think Frank Wilson would be a good head coach? Word is that we are in the 1 mil - 1.5 range. That is enough money to get a good coach. They need to also pay assistants.
You guys got screwed. RPI doesn't lie....
