he ran about eighty yards(he was about 180 pounds if he was wet) and everybody in the secondary (and also the linebackers) caught him. I thought "Oh shite"

Robert Toomer was my HS PE coach over at Jesuit. Very nice guy. No idea where he is these days, but pretty cool that he played at LSU and was part of that fab 5.

Yep, and the run was off of an option pitch when we were backed up toward our own endzone. We had season tickets in the northeast endzone and the play unfolded right in front of me. Option pitch to the left. Trivia: which QB made the pitch? He later scored the TD on that drive. He was one of 4 QBs that saw time that year (and we think we have it bad now )
