Word is Hawkins will get offered at OL (where he prefers) and switch tomorrow.

Alonzo Williams is rumored to get an offer tomorrow as well. We'll see how that goes.

Bourque possibly not attending the picnic.

Let the games begin!

To be honest, I haven't heard anything from our side.

But, most already think most of these kids switch, or at least the ones we want. BUt, who knows.

I thought we were still evaluating him. I know there are a lot of DE prospects in state, plus the kid from Mississippi we are hard after (although I think he's a long shot). It would surprise me if he got an offer before camp.

I saw SmokeRing post it on another site that he saw in a tweet. I think it was a 3rd party tweet.

TexAgs usually downplays any possibility of a switch until it happens. Maybe that's why the meltdowns are so big

SmokeRing, I wasn't trying to steal your material. I'm bored shitless in a hotel lobby and need something to occupy my time for a little while

Yeah, I'd be calm until something happens. Hawkins wouldn't surprise me though.

pretty sure at this point that hawkins is expected.

the rest, like alonzo williams, are thought to have been waiting for offers from LSU.

I don't think any reasonable Ags would be surprised by Hawkins, based on his quotes in the past and his preference for OL, but I'm sure there will still be some glorious hate spewed this way from TexAgs.

the hypocrisy of some ags is funny as shite.

they try to paint the SEC, as a league, as dirty as frick, with schools that they are so much better than, and people that are so much classier than.

but they would give anything to join the conference when it came to realignment talk.

As for Williams, I haven't heard anything, but I would lean towards him switching.

Would this guy ever have an offer from LSU at this point if A&M had not offered? Would they have gone by Bourque's school 2/3 times in the last 2 weeks. The answer is no, they would slow play them just like they do all non "5 Stars" in Louisiana while they try for out of state "5 Stars" first.

This alone says all you need to know about Sherman's ability to evaluate and the panic at LSU. We could offer some kid in fifth grade from Louisiana tomorrow and next day they would probably bring a caravan of 15 guys and bags of cash to check the kid out. Keep it up Sherm.

quote:

Barnacle is spot on. By forcing LSU's recruiters to run willy-nilly after Louisiana-based Aggie commits, Sherm keep them playing defense within their home state. More time playing defense means less time recruiting between Houston and San Antonio. Sherm turned Les' slow-play recruiting strategy against him. Sherm is driving LSU's recruiting costs through the roof!

there are more LSU threads on texags recruiting than A&M threads

Is this really a question? I guess this guy thinks that every student is allowed to tour facilities and be on the sidelines before games also.

ETA: Their oversigning thread is comical. Those guys don't seem very bright.

I'd have to say Texas and A&M easily have some of the worst fans in the country. Especially A&M. Worse than Auburn and Bama put together probably. Some of the shite TAMU fans spew is beyond delusional, not even a gump could come up with some of this shite.

I love reading their forums on occasion. Great comedy. Reading the meltdown last year from Longhorn fans was great...

How can you be an LSU fan and say something like this? LSU has some of the worst fans imaginable.

You sound more like a Houston vag. You are killing the SEC rep by crying about some non-conference folks. Nut up pussy!

wow texags is sad to read. every few months someone mentions how bad it is there and every time i end up leaving that site shaking my head.

it really is cult like. they spew so much BS as if its factual and nobody calls them on it. at least here if a ranter makes a stupid comment they are usually called out pretty quickly.
