I'm with you...all everybody does is plow the guy for being extreme, but NO ONE actually discredits his erosion theory.

SO my guess is no one knows and its easier to take shots at his character, education, or anything else not related to the facts.

the OP was quite reasonable in this thread. only "shots" i've taken were in reference to the laughable idea that the high water in the mississippi will somehow equate to a 7m global sea level rise (see "this is fun, see where you are")

I was asking his background to see what knowledge he has. And in reading the rest of the thread, it appears he copied and pasted from someone who actually knows about it.

I have no problem if he wants to copy and paste, but don't pass it off as your work or words.

His erosion thoery is bunk. water velocities are greatest at maximum flow, therefore the chance for erosion are greatest then too. The danger of a sudden draw down is with slope failure as pictured in the Darrow photograph and stated by several including me in the other thread.

how the hell are we supposed to disprove erosion? I know I don't continually look at the levees (and I very much doubt he does either). So maybe the onus is on him to show that he knows what he is talking about before he's crowned lord of levee failure knowledge.

I know that erosion happens and that it might happen. However, I also know that erosion is not how planes fly (which he said). If he's that incapable of describing Bernoulli's principle, then I won't really follow his inane rants (save for the entertainment value).
