I do.
Another addiction . . .

If anything, I don't. I like it, but I don't add extra salt to a meal that has already been prepared and served to me.
The only thing that I can think of right now that I use a lot of sea/kosher salt on is a good piece of meat.

I used to. Now, when I go out I taste how much salt is considered the norm by many people, including myself at one point in time I'm sure of. I still heavily believe in salting and peppering food to bring out the flavors, but the amount of it and sugar for that matter than people take in is absurd really.
Not really salt, but to illustrate our over indulgence, I went by CCs the other day to get a latte, and all they have is flavored simple syrups, but anyway, after she gave it to me she pointed to the table where the sugar was like I might need even more sweetener. The thing tasted like a sugar cube to begin with, then she showed me where yet MORE of the stuff was just in case it wasn't sweet enough.

based on what the medical folks tell me, yes..but then they say no salt at all should be used...
I do know that salt is an acquired taste, so we should work to reduce that desire...however, I am also a firm believer that you should season as necessary to enjoy your food to the max....

I used to over tony things.
I also used to eat the gallon jug of jalapenos in 3 weeks.
I added it up and some days I was eating 6500 mgs of sodium and it was always between 3500 - 6500 mgs.
No wonder my heart just about exploded.
I've been between 1500 and 1750 most days for about 10 months now.
I do miss the heck out of Tony and jalapenos.
I always heard I would get used to it and hate salty dishes, but for me that is a big load. I still miss the extra flavor punch.
I do have to drink 30 gallons of water after eating at pretty much any restaurant because of the extra salt.

No.
When my mom was pregnant with me she read one of those 'doctor says' columns in the newspaper. "New study just came out that says salt = high blood and you should not let your child develop a taste for it."
So, I was raised from birth without table salt Just the salt that comes from the natural or processed food. It worked. I have no desire to add salt to my food. A box of Morton's Salt lasts me 20 years. I'm on my 2nd box right now and it's almost full.
My wife used to add salt to her food but she's gradually gotten used to lower salt levels.

I use to use a lot of salt. But these days I never use it on a finished meal just in preparation. I will use tony's but I've been using the no-salt variety.
I will say I'm bit of a pepper monkey.

Interesting. A box lasts me about one crawfish boil.

i dont really think about it one way or the other. i'm much more likely to reach for the tobasco at a restaurant (to douse just about anything with) than the s&p shakers.
in general for scrambled eggs i mix kosher salt, cayenne, cumin and coriander into the melting butter before i dump the eggs into the saucepan. de-freaking-licious scrambled eggs.
