Scenes from movies that caught your attention as a kid.

In a thread recently someone mentioned they were watching a Dean Martin movie. For some reason when I think of Dean Martin movies I always remember that scene from the Matt Helm movie where the lady gets shot in the boob by a speargun. Not sure why that always stuck with me.
So, what scenes from when you were a kid stuck with you?

The opening scene from Prince of Thieves where they're chopping off hands.

I loved the final scene when they are aging.

The scene in E.T. where he's hiding in the closet mixed in with Gertie's dolls.

When I was a young boy I watched the movie Legend. There were many scenes that stuck with me. The androgynous fairy lady-boy that had a crush on Tom Cruise. Just odd. And then Tim Curry as the devil scared and awed me. Just fantastic scenery, costumes and acting. (minus tom cruise)

The opening scene of basic instinct where she's riding the guy, and then pulls out the icepick to finish the job.

I had no idea that was Tim Curry. Those big horns were scary though.

When I was about 7, my sister and her husband took us to the drive-in all the time. One time when we were watching "Sweet Georgia", the chick slid her skirt off during a close up and her bush filled up the whole screen. I will NEVER forget that!

Another scene I remember vividly from childhood is the G'mork rushing at Atreyu in Neverending Story.

Is that the wolf?
The monotone statues he had to pass were trippy also.

The scene where the Russian dude kills Appollo Creed in the ring.

HBO shaped my little life. i think my dad said we got in in '81 when i was 5.
star wars epi 4 - when we first see vader enter the ship. that dude, was evil.
time bandits- the ending (spoiler alert for a 30 yr old movie i guess)
his parents dying was the first time i realized (i probably saw the movie when i was 5 or 6) that your parents could die. it wasn't so much it actually happening but them ending the movie that way. sure his parents were bad parents but all i could think about was what is that kid going to do now?? with no parents? is he going to die too??
ET- the kid kissing that girl in his class (once again i was 6 when it came out) made me feel weird. like he's too young to be kissing. thankfully, this didn't kill my heterosexuality.
wizard of oz- that witch scared me, man. (apparently all my first movie memories come about 5 or 6) i think i slept with a light on that night.
cracking up- this was a jerry lewis movie on HBO. it opens in a scene where lewis is trying to navigate an overly-waxed office. and besides bugs bunny, this was my intro to slapstick. i used to laugh my tiny balls off to this scene.
old yeller- i don't have to tell you the scene b/c it will make me re-live it you sadistic a-hole.
bedknobs and broomsticks- when the knights were "animated" by magic and took up arms against the nazi's...well eff yeah!!!!!!
gallipoli- i don't know what kind of gun mel gibson had in this movie, but it was the template for many epic green army men battles i would have soon after.
the toy- i only knew one thing, when i got older i would have a room like eric bates. (spoiler alert) i never did.
TITS:
this deserves its own section because i was introduced to the wonder of them on film namely nat'l lampoons vacation (the pool scene), the kentucky fried movie, airplane 2, and some movie on showtime we found at a slumber party called H.O.T.S.
edit: well crap i take forever to post this and three of my movies end up in the thread. frick.

When Christopher Lloyd turns into a toon at the end of WFRR. That really spooked me as a youngster.
I'm still amazed my parents (and grandparents, which is where I mostly watched this movie) let me watch that as a kid. I guess they didn't realize how adult of a movie it was.

When the dude in My Girl was killed by the angry bees too. That made me sad.
