Chances of Hwy 1 being closed Saturday or Sunday morning bc of Morganza opening?

I have to drive to Mansura and back this weekend, and I'd rather not be inconvenienced by having to go around.
In other words, any idea on exactly when they plan to open it?

Good question. Im going to Grand Isle this weekend, any issues getting down there?

If they open it Saturday I'd bet they close Hwy 1 there. It's too dangerous not to.

They have already stated that when the open the gates, DOTD will temp close the road until they are sure there is no risk to motorists

yeah, heard that, just wonder what the chances that this will be saturday or sunday
once the order is given, will it be a day or two before the opening, or will it be 3 hours?

Honestly have no idea. I'm no help in that situation. I just know they will close the road when they do open it.
