With possibly the highest (or close to it) number of guys in the draft this year--all of which were strictly Miles' players--AND a team returning next year that is preseason number 1 and the favorite to win the SEC, this is definitely a credit to Miles and his staff for recruiting talented players, developing them, and getting them to the NFL with enough depth behind them to still be preseason #1.

Now it'd be great to see that success translate into a <2 loss season so we can put all the doubts to rest and bring home another crystal ball.

Just shows that he has too much talent to lose 2 games every season.

No one doubted his recruiting capabilities. He's damn good at getting players.

Just how many teams finish every year with less than 2 losses ? There ain't that many.

It is damn tough to go through a season with less than 2 losses.

I remember many arguments that Miles wasn't getting the future pros in his recruiting, or that he wasn't developing the talent enough to get them to the league. Many people were claiming a slide in the amount of Tigers drafted in the higher rounds, ( using the '05 and '06 classes as high points) and predicting the demise of LSU football because of it.

Well, it's not Mile's job to get these guys ready for the NFL. It's his job to win games at LSU and make sure these guys graduate. He's done just that....unless someone above him specifically said he needs to have NFL players.

It's hard to do it every year, but not once or twice.

Bama did twice. Florida did it twice. Auburn did it. Are we one of the top programs in the SEC? I think so. So we should be able to accomplish it as well, especially if we are getting better players than them.

2008
2009

12-2
14-0

They lost to Utah in their bowl game in 2008, when they didn't give a shite about the game. They were a one-loss team through their entire regular season schedule, including the SEC championship game.

No argument from me in regards to what you just said... just saying that many here were predicting a fall off in wins and NFL caliber players at LSU because of their blind hate of Les.

Yeah I've seen that here and there.
But as long as he keeps rolling in the athletes, keeps winning, and graduates players, I'll always be a fan of CLM.

Auburn doesn't, but Bama and UF does.
