Well you could always go to Fong's and meet the little old lady that tried to burn down someone else's restaurant.

my favorite is actually the one on Vets and Aris, although I don't remember the name. their salt and pepper frog legs are delicious

I've been going to that place since I was a kid. Ok, actually only ordering take-out for that long. I've only eaten in that place twice. Once as a teenager we got bitched at for taking too much food off the buffet & not eating it all! The whole fire story is so entertaining to me.

King Buffet
bets chinese buffet is Royal China but you selections are limited and their is no sushi, chinese donuts, and soft serve ice cream

Mandarin house on severn and west esplanade. They have crawish and crabs pretty good for the lunch buffet price of $10 plus drink

East Buffet in Metairie on Severn is really good. I am also a big fan of Okinago on N. Arnoult. Good sushi and green mussels for a buffet.
