Don't forget Dykstra.

Dykstra is in the doghouse, from what I hear. He is evidently a little too laid back in the work ethic area for PM. Of course, this could change.

Do you know if this problem goes all the way back to the fall, or is it a typical case of a new recruit losing heart because he didn't get enough playing time in February?

Not sure. Because he got some PT early, I assume it was not a problem early on. I just know that they are not happy with the attitude and work ethic now.

It's been done to death....I don't see this year's team turning anything around.....

Don't get me wrong, I am always hopeful, and I have ZERO problems with our coach and am confident he will turn it around next year....

But this year's team has gagged and puked and choked and shite all over itself far too often with RISP or at any other critical time for me to have any hope at all for this season; The good news is, that if you want a last minute something to do with your kids, take them to the Box...as long as you can hide your frustration, it will be a lot of fun for young kids.

Helenihi didn't spark shite in 09. He was always good defensively

When Nola was inserted in 09 it was for his glove. He didn't do anything offensively, yet that move was considered by many to be the thing that sparked the team. Helenihi in 09 had the same impact and was inserted at 3rd for the same reason, not because he was hitting high 300s.

The entire 09 run was sparked by the Nola/LeMahieu/Schimpf switch around.

Helenihi was one of my favorite players but he had NO impact that season.

Watkins back at leadoff is the big move. He started his hot streak tonight

Yes Watkins and Dozar are key. Watkins is a lead off batter that can get to second without a sacrifice and Dozar is the only left handed batter that I think can be effective.
