Spencer Ware inserted in LF immediately. He may not be any good, but Watkins and Edward are complete disasters

Grant Dozar at full-time 1B. Neither him, Edward, or Cunningham can hit worth a frick, but at least he provides good defense.

Pitch Tyler Jones more. I know he's inconsistent, but he's being wasted in midweek games. Maybe he can close.

I'd go with a batting order of:

Rhymes
Hanover
Mahtook
Nola
Ross
Katz
Jones
Dozar
Ware

Season isn't over, but it's on life support. Make changes and see what happens, it can't fricking hurt.

When does Lowery heal? I can't stomach Dozar at 1b full time. Just cannot.

Maybe they should give Didier some at bats, I doubt it could hurt.

Didier obviously has issues if he doesn't sniff the diamond this year...I mean the 3 stooges, Dozadidiatte, were the whole reason that Edward and Katz got to be discovered last year. I do not think Didier is worth it. It's obvious that he's just average at best.

We don't have a legit 3 or 4 hole hitter on this team besides mahtook

Nola is the best we have

I would try Rhymes at second and Jones at first. Then there are 4 middle infielders on the field, we'd finally have an athletic 1B with height and ball skills.

Put Ware in LF, and find someone else to DH. Give Eades, Broussard, Didier, Dykstra, or Lowery a chance at the DH spot.

Interesting

Hell, I'd be willing to try all of that right now.

Admittedly it's not originally my idea. My brother that used to coach college baseball (and was scouting JaCoby Jones when he was in the 8th grade) came up with most of it.

Nola doesnt have enough pop to be hitting 4th. Hes the perfect 2 hole hitter. Yeah hit a HR today, how many is that this season.

2 hole is the best spot for Nola. Mahtook needs to be 4th

Most of the number 1 recruiting class did not have many options offensively who could make this team better at the plate. I think about 90% were pitchers. So what do we do about hitters? Need to recruit hitters, simple, right.

1B this year is what 3B was last year. Nobody's really stepped up.

In fact, w/ the exception of some good starting pitching from our freshmen, this year is shaping up to be pretty much a repeat of last year.

When it comes down to it, guys like Jacoby and Raph are going to have to start hitting more consistently. And on the mound, someone in the bullpen is going to have to step up or this shite isn't gonna stop.
