Just put 85 rounds through the new pistol...

And damn, it felt great. I'm a fairly inexperienced pistol shooter, so I was pleased with the groupings, just need to get the shots up a bit and tighten them up. First and second mags were rough... Got better after that though.
Any pointers?
For those of you that missed it, this my new toy.

Yeah... I know. Gonna try to make it out there once a week, work permitting.
ROF was probably a round every 2-3 secs. or so. Some slower, some faster.
I'm going to work on slowing down next time. I was just giddy like a school girl this time.

Lower left may mean you had a little two much finger on the trigger causing your wrist to turn just a bit.
Other wise I don't think I would want to be the guy after any of those shots.

Definitely would work in your favor if you were defending yourself.
Just keep practicing and running rounds through that mofo. I try to shoot about 200 rounds every other weekend if I can. I get a little better each time.
What gun did you end up getting? So many pistol threads on here I can't keep up with who got what...

Thanks, I'll check that out next time I go.

I got the Beretta PX4 Storm 9mm. The love the rotating barrel... the recoil is hardly noticeable.

Gotcha. I have a Beretta 92FS 9mm..love it.
Go to Academy they sell 50 rds of Monarch for about $9 last time I was there. Also, picked up a few 20 round mags from the online website a week or so ago for like $6 bucks each. Not sure if they will fit the Storm but you may want to check it out.

Nice, I'll check it out at Academy. I got the Winchesters I was shooting today at Wal-Marks for $19 and change for 100.
I was shooting the typical Winchester 115 gr. range rounds today, but bought some Hornady 124 gr. TAP FPD self defense rounds to keep in the gun when I'm not at the range.
