No flame on LSU but I mean this years game with Oregon.. Oregon has to travel over 2000 miles. LSU has to travel less than 500.

two reasons:

1) may generate more money for the two programs per game played than doing a home/away
2) both programs want to recruit Texas

If the neutral site were in Florida and we were playing Ga Tech I'd still find that interesting (and worth doing to recruit in Florida)

FWIW Dallas at least is a major city that has flights all over the place... it might be a faster trip for them than taking a long bus trip to areas that are physically closer

It will.

LSU will earn $3.25 million to $3.5 million for the game, which eclipses the net the university hauls in for a home game against a non-BCS level program. Ausberry estimated that revenue is about $2.2 million.

No doubt. It's going to be great exposure for them. I guess just personally, I don't care for all the revenue involved. But that's just me. College Football is a pretty big business, and will generate a lot of money... as it should.

And that's why I'm not a business man
