Time to get a few things straight about UL (ULL if it helps you sleep at night).

I'm a junior majoring in biology at The University of Louisiana (at Lafayette). Just wanted to come here and address some things that you guys seem to have misconstrued. I am in no way trying to put down your university, even though that's what you guys have been doing on here to UL(L) for the last few days. I guess I would be upset too, if my team got handled at home by an 'inferior' opponent.
Now on to why I'm here. I'm not really sure how LSU fans developed this notion that UL(L) wants to be LSU or even be like LSU. This simply is not the case.
here at UL(L), we have exceptional learning facilities, excellent professors, awesome scenery, a boisterous sense of school pride, and beautiful women just like you do.
Our sports teams might not win championships every season, but our players play their hearts out, every play of every game of every season, just like yours do. I guess you could say we're doing the best that we can with what we've got. What fault do LSU fans find with that?
The whole "penis envy" thing is just ridiculous. There is nothing about our university that is inadequate.
You guys keep doing your thing across the river and we'll keep rocking the red in The Dome, The Swamp, and at The Tigue.
Oh, and check this out, this is what it looks like to have 8,000 fans at a thursday night basketball game.

It didn't load, what's it look like? Just describe it or something...

So ULL doesn't want LSU's Budget? I really doubt that

You people come closer and closer to being La. Tech fans every day.

I guess if I went to Louisiana Sports University I would care more about things like the budget for athletics. Since I go school to learn, that's not too important to me.

Why? People go to college to get an education. I think UL does a pretty good job of supplying me with one.

Do we need to post the link again directly from your Communication and Media Relations department that shows UL is not a proper acronym for UL-Lafayette?
Posted on 3/24/11 at 4:19 pm to RaginCajunProud
Isn't ULL just a satellite campus of Grambling?
Posted on 3/24/11 at 4:19 pm to Gekko
So you don't think we have a nice campus? K.

You people are so annoying you have no idea.

You're right. LSU offers dick when it comes to academics.
Are you for realz????

I'm sure it does. But according to independent sources, other schools in the UL system do a better job academically. So why claim flagship status through name before the school shores up its position as the best school in the system?

then why'd you go to ULL?
Posted on 3/24/11 at 4:20 pm to RaginCajunProud

so you chose ULL over LSU because of the academics and exceptional facilities, correct?

I just can't get into baseball or basketball though. I know they are the sort of "equalizer" major sports, but I don't know. Once something is done about people bypassing college altogether to go pro, or to sit in a farm system, I think I'd like it.
In football when you recruit a player, they have to play somewhere. In baseball if you land a big recruit *ahem* Zack Lee, they might never play. Kind of takes the fun out of watching the recruiting system, and thus learning about the players, and thus caring about them. Unless they're winning I mean.

Or good professors, or hot girls, etc...

Never said LSU doesn't offer good acedemics, just saying that UL is doing fine in that aspect.
If you guys can't respect that than you have some major issues.

Ok. Know how I know you've got some serious penis envy? You fricking signed up on an LSU message board to post about how you don't want to be LSU.

See, I just find it comical that you guys do not strive to be more like LSU in athletics and academic, considering we are superior in both categories. To each his own I suppose
