It's too close. I use 20 cups of rice in a 10 gallon pot and it's full when it's done. 4 quarts in a gallon. Do the math and change the proportions or get a 5 gallon pot and less gray hairs.

It'll be full as soon as you add your rice. As soon as it starts to swell your gonna have a mess on your hands.
