MLS was stupid to not have Seattle @ Portland as the first game of the year

Having the opportunity to have PBA, Donovan, and Beckham on the field for a highly televised game. Is too much to pass up. No way the Timbers would bring in more viewers then that. I could MAYBE see NYRB v Seattle.

Seattle = Most Supporters @ stadium. Galaxy = most well known American team w/ most well known players.

I think Portland might become my MLS team. I am looking for a team to root for, and I really like their kits.

Best in the whole damn league. I think it may be time to rank from best to worst all the MLS kits again. I enjoyed that little experiment last year.

Just finished watching. Man there were some ugly lapses. At times it was a struggle just to watch them try to string together at least two passes. On the bright side, at least da Coop is back!

Hardly. We were taking on the defending champs on the road in our first MLS game.

We've got some decent players. We'll do pretty decent this year. Especially when we play at home.

So since I have officially adopted the Timbers as my MLS team, what is there that I need to know about these guys besides their awesome kits.

Best players? Players to watch/up and commers? I did a little reading up on the squad, but I figured I could get some good info here.

I have alos adopted the timbers as my team in the west. 1 great kits, 2 i hate the sounders, 3 da coop. only other players i really know is jewsbury in the middle and the kid form Akron, Nagbe. it may be a long season but atleast i am not cheering for the sounders or RSL.

I must be the only one who thinks their kits are awful.

This.

Okay, TD timbers we've got a much weeker opponent in TFC in round 2, saturday morning.

If we look bad against Toronto, We'll be in for a long season.

Getting Sal Zizzo is going to be big, and we still don't have Darlington Nagbe, the #2 pick of the superdraft. We're also supposedly pursuing a DP Center mid, which is a good thing because Lowry and Jewbury were crap in the middle last saturday.

I think it's at 1pm.

Television on TSN in Canada (Canada's ESPN)

MLS matchday live would be a pretty good investment at 40$, but you should be able to find a stream.

Toronto games were always being streamed last year, Their fans may be a bit more jaded now, though.

I've heard from some TA who've talked to ticket reps that all games with available tickets have less than 500 left. That's incredible... glad I have my season tix.
