With all the predictions for next season being sky-high...

How will Jordan be remembered if he ends his career with a NC with little-to-no assistance from Mett? Think of it as the way Perilloux filled in for Flynn during the 2007 campaign.

He's never going to be seen as the freak that JR was, but can he be seen as the smart, serviceable, average QB that maintained the game, or is he just an extremely lucky Josh Booty?

He's got nothing on Josh Booty. Anyone who argues differently is being disingenuous. Booty was stubborn and goofy, but he was a 1st Team Coaches All-SEC Quarterback.

Yes, he threw 16 picks in his first year. But, I while I saw him call an audible nobody knew about against UAB, and somehow think he could will himself to a TD against Alabama as the clock ran out, I never saw him line up under the Guard by accident, nor call a play in the huddle, only to have to pull his hands from under center to then read his wrist-chart of plays because HE forgot them.

He's not the gamer that Herb Tyler was, but he's actually done better in terms of W's compared to Herb. That's because he's many times more of an athlete than Herb was at the QB position, though with far less juke.

In his wettest dreams, he'll never have the ability to lead ala a Rohan Davey.

Likewise, he'll never be the freak that Russell was.

He'll never have it all like Flynn.

He's a somewhat sloppy caretaker. A mirror of his head coach and his hiring practices immediately prior and throughout his playing career.

Sloppy but serviceable. Not ever gonna make it over the hump.

Truth hurts.

only coach in LSU history to beat Auburn, Florida and Alabama in same season - and he's done it twice; only first-year coach in SEC history to lead team to league's title game; eleven wins over coaches who have won national titles; and the only coach in LSU history to lead Tigers to three-straight top-five final rankings. Oh, he also won a NC.

What "hump" are you saying Coach Miles has to get over?

Maybe I'm high, but I would think the tremendous talent surrounding JJ compared to that surrounding Herb might be a better explanation of the difference in wins and losses.
