TUTHILLTIGER, obviously this article foreshadows the NCAA hammer dropping on LSU.

I have said from day one I have concerns with at least half of SEC including LSU. Saban and Meyers are right this shite is out of control. Obviously, someone is paying these POS, who paid on this deal not sure yet. Hope it was not us, but unlike you aubbies I know that rules of logic and science exist and where you see smoke there is a fire somewhere....

Randle dad's may be on the take, if so and Randle doesnt know about it I guess we are all ok under the Cam ruling. Worst case he loses his egilibility right now unless we paid Lyles 25k too, then I am concerned

Red-shirt Randle and not let him play until everything is cleared through the NCAA. The biggest concern is playing an ineligible player or covering it up.

Every program cheats, it is just how open and how often you do it.

Saying LSU used the same guy that got 25k from Oregon and their investigation now. Saying we used him to "help" with Randle. But nothing points to LSU paying him. I'm sure a LSU booster is responsible, they probably won't find much. This shite happens all the time, all major programs cheat. Nothing to see, move along. Football recruiting is every bit as dirty as Basketball, it just isn't as publicized.

A week later, Hartman crossed paths with Lyles again. This time he was with LSU defensive line coach Brick Haley, who had come to see Randle. When Lyles tried to walk onto the field, Hartman told him to return to the parking lot. Hartman later called Haley and told him that Lyles was never to return to Clear Springs High. Who's who in this story Will Lyles: Has Houston-based business called Complete Scouting Services. Reputed “street agent.” Being scrutinized by NCAA after receiving $25,000 payment from Oregon for scouting package and reportedly for his relationship with Oregon running back Lache Seastrunk. Trevon Randle: Houston-area high school linebacker who signed with LSU last month. Has relationship with Lyles. Clint Hartman: Randle’s high school coach. Banned Lyles from his campus after Lyles visited him with Oregon and LSU coaches. Told assistant coaches to call police if they saw him. Lache Seastrunk: Oregon running back from Texas who redshirted this past season. NCAA reportedly looking into his relationship with Lyles. LaMichael James: Oregon junior running back from Texas, who finished third in last season’s Heisman Trophy voting. NCAA reportedly looking into his relationship with Lyles. Trey Williams: Houston running back who is one of nation’s top recruits. Knows Lyles. Willie Amendola: Trey Williams’ high school coach who said an Oregon coach and Lyles visited him about Williams. Thayer Evans, Senior College Football Writer “I didn’t know the guy, Coach,” Hartman recalled Haley saying of Lyles. “He showed up and said he was helping the last guy here for LSU.”

Memphis coach Larry Porter knows Lyles from his time as assistant head coach at LSU. After Memphis hired Porter away from LSU in November 2009, Seastrunk started considering Memphis as a college choice.

In an interview in July, Porter described Lyles as “a genuine guy with me so I have nothing negative to say about him.”

But Porter said he was unsure whether Lyles is a positive influence in college football.

“I don’t know the conversations he’s having with these kids when we’re not around,” Porter said. “We’re not around him much. Who knows where the influences are coming at the end of the day?”

“I think the kids listen to him. I do. Some kids he’s probably closer to than others. Some kids know that he goes around to a lot of different universities so some of them like to jump in the car with him. What goes on and what’s being said, again, I have no clue.”

Where does that say LSU used him?

Looks like Lyles lied to Haley to snake his way into a High School

You realize that article is saying he showed up with Haley and helped talked to the kid? That is a NCAA violation right there. If LSU used his scouting service, that is legal, if it is legit. If he helped recruit Randle, that is illegal and a major violation.

The article says he showed up with Haley, was removed from the school, and turns out he lied to Haley to get to tag along with him.

Maybe. Or Haley was just trying to cover ground. Like I said, probably not much going to come to this. I find it hard to believe Haley had no idea who the dude was, especially letting him tag along. Why would he risk letting some random guy tag along with him while he is recruiting? Wouldn't he just tell the dude to leave? Yea...

If I take anything away from the article, it's that Coach Hartman is pretty sore that Trovon didn't end up at OU. . .and that Lyles is a pretty shady guy.

He told Haley he was helping the previous LSU guy. . .which turns out was a lie.
