Looking to get a nice used gun, in the semi automatic form.

If you're willing to spend ~$500
check out the Remington SPR 453
I bought one from Academy 2 years ago and I love the gun! Semi-Auto shoots 2-3/4" to 3-1/2"

Not semi auto, but I've got a Remington 870 special purpose I'll sell you for 150/200 dollars. It's mossy oak breakup 3" magnum. It's old but it's trusty
Eta: I saw where you said nice... It's not so much nice as it is broken in

The guys who I hunt with who have them always seem to be spending more time taking them apart and trying to fix them on the floor of the blind instead of shooting ducks.

I have a Browning gold. Never had too many problems out of it after hunting with it for 10+ years.
I would if it got nasty but only then.

I'm gonna have to disagree. A few of the earliest Gold models had problems with low brass shells but other than that the Golds are frickin workhorses.

used through 3 duck seasons. camo may have very minor usage wear but absolutley no mechanical problems. What will you be using it for mainly?

Are Browning Golds the same as B-80s?

The Browning B-80 was discontinued in the late 80's. It was the same gun as the Beretta 302.
The Browning Gold surfaced in the mid 1990's and was also marketed as the Winchester Super X2.
They are still made, but Browning pushes the Maxus as their flagship shotgun now..

I still shoot my B-80, but the barrel patina got fricked up in Katrina.
