Who ya got?

POTY=Best Player
MVP=Most important to his team

I don't really know. Nobody has really stood out like, say, Didier Drogba and few others did last year.

The top players have had their runs, but nobody has been really consistent all season

It doesn't necessarily have to be the "Golden Boot" winner either.

I agree. Without him City would have no midfield creativity.

POTY is still too early to tell. Injuries have really hurt some of the early contenders like Bale and Fabregas. If I had to guess right now it would probably be Nasri or Tevez.

Vidic will get a good shout. As will Nani.

I don't think Nasri is even in contention, tbh.

I think POTY candidates should include Berbatov, Nani, and Tevez, among others.

I think MVP could have been Andy Carrol until he was sold.

I would take Tevez right now.

If we're talking value to one's team, then it'd have to be Fabregas. Just compare Arsenal's results with and without him. That said, MVPs are hardly ever chosen that way. Don't know who will win POTY. No clear cut favorite.

We will see when the season is over. I agree that Nani is up there. But, he is such a bitch.

MVP should be Adam or Parker. Without either both of their clubs are fricked.

Player of the year Tevez or Berbatov.

How valuable was Dempsey to Fulham ?

I mean he single handedly kept them out of the relegation zone for a while.

Same could be said for Van Persie to be honest. I don't understand how Nasri isn't in contention. His play in the early part of the season was supremely important. He's very close to having the ability to take games over. Nani is already there, as a more natural winger with the ability to shoot with both feet. If I had to make a list, it would look something like, in no particular order,

Silva, Vidic, Nasri, Berbatov, Tevez, Nani, Charlie Adam and maybe someone else.

MVP=Charley Adam
POTY=Nani

These would be my votes, with VDV and RVP close behind Nani. I hate to vote for Nani, but I think he's the right answer...

We were rolling there a bit with Chamakh, but RvP certainly was on fire until his injury.

Apparently the BBC is running a big feature on Nasri tomorrow using analysis from Opta and Zonal Marking to show his excellence this season. Maybe after its released everyone will be putting him in contention.

Berba and nani, but I'm very biased and haven't seen too many matches.

I agree with rooney as disappointment of the year though. Even though after the goal of the year vs city and his rocket vs chelsea, he just hasn't been producing like someone of his expected caliber should be.

I'm a ManUtd fan for life, and ill keep saying, the worst move we have made in recent memory has been letting go of Tevez.

OK, two months later I think I will pick Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez as both MVP AND POTY.

He has been the most consistent player for Man U. all season (and in the league, for that matter), and there is no way they win the Premier League title without him.

All of the "usual" suspects: Drogba, Lampard, Defoe, Rooney, Tevez, etc. have had injuries or very poor spells this season.

eta: and I'm a Citeh fan.
