Will he get as many carries as he did last year?

so more carries in college than the nfl automatically means better situation? do you really think this? getting paid > not getting paid

Never said that. Said he would get more carries next year if he stayed than he ever will in the NFL.

What happens to Ridley remains to be seen. He has to generate interest first, then make a team. The second will be a huge challenge.

I like Ridley and would have enjoyed watching him another year.

Because you are making very large assumptions. You have no idea if Ridley will be drafted or where. And you certainly have no clue what he can do if he does get drafted.

Let's be realistic. He will struggle to make a squad. He will have to excel on special teams to have an NFL career.

the bad thing going for ridley, is that he plays slow.

the point of contention though, is the challenge will not be any easier next year, may even be harder. Making a roster for anyone in the 5th and below is about working hard, learning and contributing on special teams. LSU has had quite a few guys make rosters as UDFAs. Matt Flynn was drafted in the 7th round and is generating a lot of buzz right now.

His stock isn't very high. Coming out early was a huge risk. There is a good chance he could have improved his stock, becoming a better receiver out of the backfield, showing better vision.

you keep repating yourself but fail to acknowledge his stock would have been identical next year. with the shelf life of a running back, if you can't improve your stock, you go pro as soon as you can so you can make milk the life of your career for all it's worth. vision is not his problem, it's speed, and speed is not something he's going to all of the sudden gain.

Regardless of his 40 time, I'm still puzzled as to why he left?

1. money.

2. money while he still has his ACL and MCL.

3. eligible according to current rules.

So you claim it's impossible to improve his stock by coming back.

i'm saying it's very very unlikely and more likely all it would do is be one less year he'll be abkle to make money as a professional football player. didn't work out too well for charles scott either

right, is that why i guessed his forty time at 4.65? and that he is a prospect that will be drafted in the 6th round or later, possibly undrafted?

a lot of people owe me an apology

I believe I did, as the time is listed for all to see. One can also see times for many other NFL backs. As you can see that the NFL does not have a lot of 4.66 and higher backs.

On the NFL network it was questioned why he came out early as well.

Ridley possesses a very average skill set for RB's. If he were a better receiver out of the backfield his value may increase. He needed another near to sell his skills to the NFL IMO.
