Business is taking me to Thibodaux tomorrow. Anyone have any reasonably priced lunch suggestions?

One of the worst dining locations on the face of the earth (in my opinion). What kind of lunch you looking for? Plate lunch? Poboys?

Bubba's. Nice people, but the food is terrible.

Both of those sound good. Going to have some coworkers with me so needs to not be too exotic.

Yeah that's kind of what I have heard about that place.

I think I must have hit them on a Friday and that was the wrong day... The food was good, but, the people were angry acting...

To me the best spot for poboys-- at least seafood poboys-- is a little dump called the Half Shell on St. Mary. It's full of old people and it's not stellar, but far and away the best fried seafood in Thibodaux.

There are a couple Mexican places in town, but none are good. There's a steakhouse downtown-- Fremin's-- but it over charges and under delivers. Same people own a restaurant called Flanigan's near the university, but it's pretty mediocre as well.

There's also a little bistro place in the country club, but I haven't been. Honestly, if you can make the drive to Houma for lunch, I'd recommend this.

Whatever you do, don't let someone talk you into going to Politz's.

I'd take this alternative any day of the week.

nubby ducks in labadieville.

i agree that the options are limited.

bubba's poboys is better than bubbas on the bayou.

fried chicken at malt n burger

frostop is what it is, and i like it.

spahrs has some good stuff. decent pizza at pepper's.

la palma has some good items for mexican--dont go to la casa or the other one. norm's daiquiri has plate lunches. that's about all i got....and i do like politzs lunches, but i havent been in a long time.

I'd recommend Pepper's if you're okay with pizza. Demitasse was a nice place for a sandwich and had great potato salad but I think I read that it recently caught on fire.

It's been an extremely long time but I remember Flanagans being solid.

And Spahr's is great but I wouldn't consider that Thibodaux.

I work in Thibodaux. Options are limited. New sushi place Geaux Fish and Grady V's in the country club. Yet to try either.

My father is rolling over in his grave knowing what became of his baby in the BCC. I don't know what caused it as I have not lived in/kept up with Tippytoe for over thirty years.

Spahr's on 4th St, based on your limitations. Also Half Shell on La 1.
Sadly Bilello's, BCC, Sam's, Jutz's and Venetian are gone.
Chain boxes exist on La 20/N. Canal

FWIW, Fremin's is a reasonably priced lunch option i my opinion.

Bubba's is TERRIBLE (TERRIBLE!) but Bubba's Po-Boys is good if you want fried seafood or a plate lunch.

Half Shell, while good, will take you 14.86 hours to receive your food.

AreJay and i started a quest to find the best burger in thibodaux (we named this quest Burgerdeaux) but alas, we did not complete it.

Also the Demitasse is a hot spot these days...
