And yes I love Drums and Guns. Got the name from a youtuber named nutnfancy who makes a lot of gun and knife videos. He always does run through gun courses which he calls RunNGuns
I'm very familiar with nutnfancy and his runNguns. He can be a bit too wordy for me at times but he cant be matched with the depth of his reviews.

I thought since my blazing fast double bass feet sound like a machine gun when playing 32nd notes and I love guns the play on words was too perfect.
Excellent reasoning if I do say so my self. My double pedal speed is a bit lacking but my hands more than make up for it.

His reviews on knives are pretty good, but after a while you figure out that a lot of his reviews are based on his personal biases. For instance, he insists on all of his knives having a shitload of jimping. It actually becomes kind of funny. I still subscribe, but some of the YT gun community thinks he pays for subscriptions and gets a cut from companies that he recommends.
To the OP, another option you might consider is Smith and Wesson. Not a lot of people have their 1911s, but those who do say good things. I have my eye on one of them when I get some money.

I'd probably look at STI's first..... And don't not buy a 1911 because it doesn't have a ambi safety.. any decent gunsmith can install on for you after market easily.
