Isn't that the jersey someone had on e-bay asking like 5k for saying it was an alternate Pro-Combat uniform?

LSU has traditionally had Vertical Shoulder Stripes, since at least the late 40's. The Nike Pro Combat shows that Nike has no respect for what is the LSU Uniform.
Nike is all about Nike....when I see Uni's proposed for LSU, the first thing I see is the Shoulder Stripes....vertical or horizontal...
Iowa, Auburn, and others have horizontal.....
LSU is Vertical.
This jersey and the other Pro Combat are Horizontal, hence, not our uniform at all.
Glad they were rejected.
(Next rant will be on why they cut off the bottom of our stripes, originally we had the stripes all the way around the sleeve, now it just ends...
Why??)

Wow dude you sound like a douche. The whole purpose of the combat uniforms is switch things up and look different. God forbid someone "disrespects" our teams stripes. You care way too much about that shite.

Is it really necessary for college football to have an element of GAY in it?
All you guys who like alternate uniforms, why don't you go get some Barbi dolls. You can switch around their outfits all day long, and it will give you your precious opportunity to say, "That's a sweet uni."

Looks like Byrd.
Good thing we declined. Might turn into the school with the most talent in a large city that always gets happy to make the playoffs.
On the rare occasion that even happens.
Oh...snap.

Those are horrible.
I'd much rather them wear the other pro combat unis.

The flywire is popped to show the technology. It started in the footwear. Current cleats have it as well. Very fine wire for support. Lunarglide running shoe and basketball shoes have it. Think of it like a suspension bridge for support. If jersey isn't a fake, could very well be Fall 11 licensed/team sample since LSU was the sample line for that season. BTW the players love it (not saying this specific color) and it's a recruiting tool at other schools.

Considering they do ProCombat at Ohio State and Oklahoma just off the top of my head, I'd say yes.

That is the same jersey LSU wore against Arkansas. The white jersey had the same exact design, it was just all white so you couldn't see it.

IMO, this is the jersey from ~1955-56 on which the Nike jersey was based. The vertical stripes came to LSU in 1957 as best I can determine and were popular with a lot of schools at that time.
I'd like to see the combat jersey, with in purple with gold lettering, but using the colors actually used. Not the blue and school bus yellow of the jersey at the beginning of this thread.
