Does being to muscular make a person less flexible and mobile? Which player who was super strong was the best player? In some sports, putting on too much muscle hinders flexibility. I would hate to face someone in the trenches where being mobile is not a necessity, But he would be much stronger than me.

The main people referred to in this thread are fullbacks, where mobility and flexibility are not the highest priorities. As for Brooks and Ford, it doesn't look like its hindered their mobility/flexibility. You can have a huge benchpress/squat and still be a freak athlete.

Clay Matthews?
Laron Landry?
Vernon Davis?

I believe that you would be very surprised how much mobility is a part of the "trenches"

If you do not have the frame to carry the extra weight

You make such a great point. Its refreshing to see more people posting on this website who aren't so naive and ignorant that they should be lobotomized.

Iseem to remember Hokie Gajan posting some incredible numbers, like over 1,000 in the leg press.

Barksdale had a 700 lb squat. Mickey Johnson already squats that. Pound for pound Ford is the strongest player on the team.

its all relative...

A 180lbs. DB that benches 350 is stronger than a 300lbs. DT that benches 450...

You are wrong. 450 is more than 350.

It only means he is stronger pound for pound.

450 is 450, no matter who is lifting it.
