Saw Hilliard play this year on TV and in person. And saw Hill play on TV and in person.
Hill is a good back but he also ran behind La'el Collins all year and it sure helps a running back to have one of the top 10 players in the nation blocking for you.
If Hilliard is motivated, which it seems like he is since he has enrolled at LSU already and will be able to workout with the team all spring, and gets back in shape like he should be then he is for sure a superior running back.
They both played in class 3A and Hilliard rushed for 8600 yards and 106 TDs in his career. With 6700 yards and 88 of those TDs coming in his Sophmore Junior and Senior seasons (missed 2 games as a senior)

Dalton was the man back then.
Dalton Hilliard was underrated coming out of HS. The stud RB in that class was supposed to be Garry James. A lot of people were pissed that DH started ahead of GJ. Took exactly one play before MOST people realized that Dalton was something special. A lot of people never could get over the fact that Dalton was better than Garry, though....
Dalton was the second best freshman back in the SEC that year. Who was the best?

Unless it's changed, Kenny doesn't want to wear 21. He wants to make a number all his own in LSU history and not be in Dalton's shadow

he is putting on too much muscle. He needs to be taken off the suplements hes on and loose the weight. he is gonna be a wrecking ball.

Anyway, we won 20-10 and the game wasn't even that close.
I had a ticket to that game and gave it to a buddy. It was our first win in 11 years against Bama. Bad choice on my part...

I hope it happens......... #21

He wore #21 in high school, so I'm sure it has some meaning to him. Not sure what...he probably doesn't care if Kenny Hilliard gets to wear his uncle's old college number.

Just out of curiousity, are his thighs bigger than Dalton's? Dude had some tree trunks.
I still can hear Madden calling Saints games-
"handoff to Hilliard, who has ENORMOUS thighs..."
I remember reading somewhere that most linebackers dreaded hitting him head-on because he'd give them some serious whiplash

One of my finer childhood memories was of #21 Dalton Hilliard taking a long run down the sideline in a day game versus Notre Dame. It was a prime moment for the program cause of the exposure and having a "big screen" in the house (hung over via crane via Mitsubishi or something)

He already said he doesn't want it.

Deja vu at the running back position
i played softball against dalton. my position was 3rd base. he batted left handed. he would bunt the ball down 3rd base line and i knew it but could never throw him out. sprinter speed. Kenny Hilliard is a completely different type of back. He will be a power runner much like a Hokie Gajan.

Kenny won't be as good, sorry.

I dont follow recruiting much but I heard on a local sports talk show here from some real LSU guys that Hilliard got fat this year and that Hill was a much superior back. Thats just what I heard though.

Yep! His style of running reminded me a lot of the late, great Walter "Sweetness" Peyton. I can still remember him running all over Bama at Legion Field that sunny Saturday afternoon back in 1982, I believe it was. Anyway, we won 20-10 and the game wasn't even that close.

That would be cool... But I think he should establish his own identity really.
