I'm thinking about making the transition to night fishing and saw this system on Kevin Ford's show. Has anyone used it, and is it worth it?
they have a 400 watt and 1000 watt, starting at $350 with the 400.
thanks

I've heard they work great. I bought one of the green underwater lights last week to use for sac-a-lait fishing off our pier. Haven't had a chance to use it yet.

Pretty sure the FISH vECTOR LIGHTING SYSTEM USES hps(high Pressure Sodium) bulbs for it's lighting.
You would do much better using Metal Halide lighting.
Much more natural color and the intensity of the light penetrates the water with much more easy.
The spectrum of Metal Halides also promotes hard coral growth.
Edit:just found this site that sells complete MH systems for under $500.00
It is a steal.

Bass, White Bass and White Perch.
Have been fishing at camps in Big Lake and Prien Lake and did really good too.

I have a friend who put one out from his pier, the green one. The bait fish start swirling in it almost immediately. Then come the bream, after about an hour the bass a zeroed in on it and makes for a great night of fishing. I love watching the attacks on the shad. I usually have my best success just on the outer edge of the light.

So, are you looking for something that mounts on a boat or pier? I use underwater lights on my boat offshore. They are LED,12V. Best color are green or blue. I have white and blue that puts light out well over 50' behine my boat.

I bought one last year from underwaterfishlight.com. $300. It works great off my dock. It is not portable tho and never pull the bulb out of the water when its on.
