re: Taurus's new Judge

It may not be the most ideal home defense gun around but it has many more applications to people who may find themselves out in the woods. Besides.. I'd much rather my gf shot a pattern at someone if they break in then a single shot. I know I'd be nervous myself if I had to shoot anyone. two, or three, large groupings are enough to deter someone(or kill).

I went in with him yesterday to look at it and it does not have a barrel.
The chamber is about 4" long and the barrel is 2".
Looking at the .410 shell with OO buckshot the rounds are stacked one behind the other.
Can't be real accurate.

I think these will do the job. I'm not going on patrol in Afghanistan.

Unless you've fired the Judge and actually seen it's results first hand STFU. If this gun was pointed at you from within 10ft( in which most confrontations occur) you'd piss your pants. If you hit your target with the 45 there is no need for a "follow up round" this is an excellent gun for lots of reasons. For instance, to keep in your truck. Carjacker?? No problem, I don't give a shite if you have the 410 or .45 in the revolver it WILL stop your target from that range. You wanna volunteer to take a 410 buckshot round in the face??? No?? I didn't think so. Oh, and one more important thing, it's a revolver, it will go "bang" when you pull the trigger.
