He died when I was 4 or 5 but I can recall watching a John Wayne movie around the age of 10 and hearing my father talk about him being dead and feeling horrible this guy was no longer around.

this year i was really sad about lena horne. my grandpa and i listened to her all my life and we used to dance to it. i grew up watching carson reruns and we always watched her performances twice. he hadnt heard and i was the one to tell him. it was a sad day for both of us

Since so many nonactors were named, I'll go with Eddie Guerrero. It was really sad to see him die after really cleaning his life up from his pain pill addiction and really start doing the best work of his career.
