he is very accurate, especially on the run. Also a very good athlete with some speed. Its hard to believe this guy doesnt have more offers...he looks to be around 6' (listed as 6'1)...must be the reason. Anyone see anything else?

Me and him used to play baseball together and he played 3rd based. He hit the ball right in the chest on every throw. Hes very accurate.

There are few young receivers who are very good that he could help bring on if they don't go pro in baseball!

Dandydon is reporting that Foster is on a visit this weekend.

Others have said the same thing about the young receivers, but I am not sold on them being "baseball first" guys. The TE is 6'5", and the receiver is a playmaker with serious ball skills. There is film of Foster and Smith, need some on Quinn!

saw him play against Evangel, was impressive. Similar to Prescott (ability not size), little less arm strength, better accuracy and little more mobility.

They also had a receiver that looked really good, he was discussed on here somewhere, think his name was Fontenot maybe? They hooked up on 2 long (70+ yards) touchdowns.

That would be Quinn. Fontenot was the Freshman Qb,
played JV and participated in a few varsity plays to rest Foster when he had an injury. Fontenot is not real big but he is an athlete and should contribute to Barbe's baseball program in a big way.

correct...trey quinn is also a freshman

they were the 2 aces on the LLWS team from LC a few years back

kennon was the #1
trey was the #2

both will be great baseball players in the future....however, with a good growth spurt (body mass), they both could play both sports at the next level

Dandy Don and Shreveport Times (Guilbeau) both report he will be offered a grayshirt for next year. Very interesting and intriguing prospect and i am glad to see a good instate qb get.

Preferred walk-on... Not a greyshirt.

Will be the same as Barret Bailey...

Any Lake Charles area fans give us the scoop? How likely would it be that Jared Foster accept a walk on offer? What's his family's situation? Can he afford to pass up a scholly at a smaller school?

He has other offers that I am aware of, McNeese, Southeastern, Tulane I believe.

Fontenot and Quinn may have a chance to play varsity baseball as freshman. Hard to do at Barbe. The ones that have played as freshman at Barbe have done well in baseball, either college or drafted by MLB.

Mark my words, Trey Quinn will get a LSU offer. The kid is unreal. Could play Football and Baseball at LSU.
