January 29th within thirty miles of the northern border of LA.
Bayou Dorcheat.
Also discovered that there are smallmouth in Dorcheat up here.
lets see who kills the biggest, baddest snake this year. Seems right for this board considering the geography and zealotry.
Bust out yo reptiles.

I have seen this monster and I am convinced it lives off of new born hogs. She is a wonder of nature and I just make sure I hunt no where near her territory during turkey season.

Opening day of bow season. Walking back to the fourwheeler. I saw this moccasin in my path. Stepped back and busted his arse

Hell no! Them are some nasty mofos. I'm not against trying snake but it won't be a moccasin

Touche. I will be the snake apologist on the board. Rattlesnake isn't bad at all. I just hate when snakes are killed for no reason.

hat, it looks more like you stepped on the mother fricker the way his neck is broken
I let snakes do their own thing... I did kill a three foot rattler in my garage last year though. No pics.
He was fricking delicious.

Me too. People kill them either just for the frick of it or because theyre pussies. Snakes kill vermin disease vectors better than anything. Venomous in your backyard is a different story.

No doubt.

I'll shoot the shite out of a rattler, moccasin, or any other venomous snake. Rat snake, chicken snake, black racer meh, let em go. They are always headed the opposite way of me

Not really. It was 70 degrees in N. MS yesterday, warmer in LA. I'm guessing a few snakes decided it was time to get up and move around(very slowly of course). Hell, I played golf all day in shorts and a golf shirt and actually broke a small sweat
Glassman, that's a big snake you're talking about. I know of a couple rattlers killed around here that go upwards of that too...

I didn't kill it. It's an indigo snake from our camp in Texas. They're nonvenomous and eat rattlesnakes so they're all catch and release. Biggest I've caught is 7+ feet and the smallest I've seen is ~5 feet.
I have a picture but it's very large. How do I resize it again? Thanks

That looks like a "before" pic, with the "after" pic being the snake hanging off you forearm with it's fangs bone-deep in your arm.
If a snake is poisonious, it dies. If it is not poisonious, it can go on it's way.
